Job Vacancy - Disability Support Worker
Additional Needs Education located in Blackburn Victoria, is a unique team with a personalised approach to participants and their families. The individuals we work with have a vast range of disabilities, ages and backgrounds.

The role involves an education approach to support, promoting independence in domestic duties, personal care, access to the community, social guidance, and transportation to access programs.
Each Support educator is matched to the family based on the skills and experience they can bring to the program. Educators are provided with ongoing training and mentoring, to ensure the highest level of care at all times.
We are looking for candidates that have the following prerequisites;
· Cert III or IV or equivalent and relevant experience in the disability care industries
· Current police check
· Current working with children’s check
· Current first aid and CPR certificate
· Valid driver’s licence
· Access to a vehicle with full comprehensive insurance
· NDIS Worker Screening check
· NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate
Core objectives of the position include:
· Provide support to participants with physical, neurological, sensory, psychosocial, and/or intellectual disabilities
· Understand and provide appropriate care to participants with high needs who demonstrate a range of challenging behaviours
· Assisting with activities relating to daily living, community support, and empowerment
· Work under general guidance from the person seeking support, their family, and within clearly defined guidelines
